Dr. Baker received her medical degree from Chicago Medical School (M.D.). She completed her Internal Medicine Residency followed by a Fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
She is currently Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology and is a diplomate of the American Colleges of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. She is passionate about advanced personalized preventative care which allows for early detection and intervention with dramatic health risk reduction.
Dr. Baker further pursued her passion for medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago where she completed her Internal Medicine Residency followed by a Fellowship in Rheumatology under the world renowned professor and researcher, Dr. John Varga.
She spent 10 years in Chicago working at University of Illinois Hospital, Cook County Hospital, Northwestern, Mount Sinai and Rush Medical Centers. In Chicago, she also rotated through every Veterans Health Administration hospital, America’s largest integrated health care system providing primary care and specialized care. Dr. Baker started her private practice in Los Angeles in 2003.
She also serves as assistant professor of medicine at Cedars-Sinai Hospital and University of California, Los Angeles teaching medical students, residents and fellows for over 20 years. She has received numerous awards including the prestigious Castle Connley award by her peers, Southern California Super Doctors, LA’s Top doctors and The Best of the Best.
While a good portion of our current practice utilizes state-of-the-art treatments which have revolutionized how we treat patients, we also focus on optimizing patient’s health to help them live a longer and more vibrant life.

In addition to her practice, Dr. Baker served on the board of the Samburu project, which provides access to clean water in Kenya. She was also a founding member of the Mesesso Foundation that provided education and access to health care for young girls in Ethiopia. Currently, Dr. Baker serves as Vice President for the Maddocks-Brown Foundation that has a wide-ranging platform focused on health care and rehabilitation, education, elder care, and more.She lives in Brentwood, California with her husband and children.
